Joe D'Alessandro, LC, CLCP
Joe brings thirty-four years of electrical experience to RLE. Specializing in lighting, Joe is Lighting Certified (LC) by NCQLP and Lighting Controls Certified (CLCP) by NALMCO. Joe began his career as a manufacturer’s representative for seventeen years serving many roles from project management, sales, operations, and eventually earned an ownership role in the company. Expanding his diversity in the industry, Joe moved into electrical distribution in 2008 and for the next fifteen years served in management roles along the way. In his spare time, Joe enjoys spending time with family, cooking, golf, and Boston sports teams.
Project Management & Engineering
Alex Zapris
Alex has a strong engineering background with valuable experience in the lighting controls market as well as various industrial production lines. He brings three years of project management experience for Lutron lighting controls system to RLE. His projects include some notable clients: MIT in Cambridge, MA and Hudson Yards in New York, NY. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace in Greece and a Master of Science in Offshore Engineering from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. In his spare time, Alex plays basketball, chess, rows whenever possible, and enjoys traveling around the world.
Carlin A. Power
Carlin brings over thirteen years of experience in the Commercial Energy Efficiency Sector. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an English Degree and worked on building sites in Europe and Australia before beginning his career as a lighting auditor for ConEdison’s SBDI program in NYC. Since 2008 he has sold, managed, and implemented energy efficiency projects in everything from a corner bodega in Harlem to the Beverly Hills Bloomingdale’s. He is an avid theater buff and dual citizen of Ireland & USA. When not spending time with family, he enjoys spear fishing, reading, writing, soccer, hot yoga, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, and, of course, traveling the world.
Jason Lucca
Jason has over ten years of experience identifying, designing, and managing comprehensive HVAC and lighting energy efficiency projects. His work history spans across the country and has focused on schools, municipal buildings, commercial buildings, data centers, and supermarkets. These projects include transformer upgrades, variable speed drive integration, HVAC system retrofits, building automation system upgrades, data center airflow management, electronically commutated motor applications, LEDs, and advanced wireless controls. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Northeastern University. In his free time, Jason enjoys golfing, volunteering at PGA tournaments as a Hole Marshall, attending Northeastern Hockey games, and traveling around the world.
Derek Gookin
Derek began his career in the lighting industry over three years ago working with investment-grade lighting audits, and swiftly grew into his current role as a Project Manager. He graduated from Plymouth State University with a business degree in marketing and an option in integrated communications. He has an extensive background in sales and customer service. Aside from the passion for his work, he also enjoys skiing, golfing, playing guitar and watching sports.
Ryan Swabby
Ryan Swabby was born and raised in New London County. After graduating Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in Business Economics, he worked for 10 years in sales and customer service. In recent years he has worked in project management in the Government sector on projects such as the USS Hartford (SSN-768) with Electric Boat, and the South Naugatuck to Devon CT Rebuild of transmission lines with Eversource. In his free time he enjoys cooking, sports, and traveling with his wife and daughter.

Sales & Business Development
Vince Costanzo
With over 25 years of experience in Business-to-Business sales, Vince has a wealth of experience in mid-market sales. He was even a recipient of the Sales Excellence award, a prestigious award that is given to top performers in the Contract & Commercial division of Staples. As a Business Development Manager for RLE, Vince focuses on the New England area to assist municipalities and businesses on current and upcoming initiatives for electric vehicle charging stations as well as utility incentives. Vince prides himself on being a knowledgeable and creative consultant for RLE’s clients and providing a comprehensive approach to everything he does. In his free time, Vince enjoys playing drums, skiing, mountain biking, cooking, and traveling New England with his family.
Garrett Cudgma
Garrett graduated from Nichols College in 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. He has spent four years with Firestone as a general service technician and sales associate, his first year out of college as a life and health insurance specialist and most recently as a sales representative for Eversource Natural Gas. In his free time he enjoys golf, skiing, automotive tinkering and spending time with his girlfriend.
Engineering
Sheldon Scott, PE, CEM
Senior Energy Engineer
Sheldon brings over a decade of experience to the RLE team. He worked in several project management and engineering roles serving government, state, local town, schools, hospitality, commercial buildings, and utility programs. Most of his career has involved managing and evaluating the cost benefits related to upgrading the facility HVAC, lighting, and controls system. He is a licensed professional engineer for the state of Connecticut and a Certified Energy Manager. He received his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the City University of New York (C.U.N.Y.).
In his spare time, Sheldon gets the crowd going while DJing weddings on the weekends. He also enjoys spending time playing basketball, soccer, and being with his family.
John Sigona
Energy Engineer
John Sigona was born and raised and has lived all his life in the Greater Bridgeport Connecticut area. John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Fairfield University. He is an Electrical Engineer involved in Electric Vehicle Charging, infrastructure upgrades, and energy conservation efforts.
John has come from a long career at an electric utility and has been in the conservation industry for over 20 years. In his tenure, he has worked with such clients as Yale, GE, Aquarion, Pitney Bowes and Medtronics to name just a few. He has also worked in the manufacturing industry doing product performance, life and reliability testing.
When not at work he enjoys fishing, woodworking, golf and playing cribbage.
